About Emily...

Emily is an artist and arts educator based in and around Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. She graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2007 with BA (Hons) Illustration and now divides her time between freelancing and her job as art technician at a secondary school.

Emily’ s artwork is distinguished by dexterity, skill and close attention to detail. In her portraits she works often with pencil and other dry media, but now increasingly includes paint and ink to highlight and accentuate. For her personal artwork she favours ink alongside pencil, and is currently exploring abstract work based around pattern and intricate detail. Her most recent work has branched out into quilling and pyrography, and can be viewed in the 'personal work' gallery or in more detail via the blog.

Emily has over 10 years experience working in the arts sector of secondary education and is a qualified Arts Award Adviser at all levels. Her workshops have covered many different skills over the years, and have been aimed at a range of abilities  and ages, from 7 all the way through to adult. These have included drawing, paper making, mural art and stop-motion animation to name a few. Further examples of previous workshop themes can be found in the 'workshops' section of this website.

Emily holds an Emergency First Aid In The Workplace certificate, and has completed a course in Essential Health and Safety.
